David Oulehla, who manages Czech side FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem, found himself attracting attention for reasons completely unrelated to football following his team’s defeat to SFC Opava.

While speaking to presenter Sabina Jaksova, the coach appeared determined to keep his eyes fixed on just about anything other than the woman interviewing him.

Footage of the exchange showed Oulehla listening carefully to Jaksova’s questions while either staring straight ahead or looking off to the side.

His serious expression only made the moment more entertaining for viewers, who quickly picked up on his apparent determination to avoid eye contact.

The clip, shared on the club’s TikTok account, soon took on a life of its own.

Despite the account having fewer than 30,000 followers, the video racked up an impressive 1.8 million views as social media users flooded the comments with jokes about the manager’s concentration.

“Fighting for his life,” joked TikTok user Kristoff Markson.

Another viewer, @Ononos, suggested the coach had mastered an extraordinary level of discipline, writing: “Many years of meditation.”

A third added: “His level of self-control is biblical.”

Although Oulehla’s behaviour has provided plenty of entertainment online, there has been no explanation from the manager about why he appeared so reluctant to look towards Jaksova.

The presenter herself joined the Czech club after being personally approached by its management, despite having no previous experience in the role.

“The club’s management contacted me directly and made me the offer. I admit that I was happy and surprised at the same time,” she explained following her appointment.

“I thought about it for a while, but finally said: ‘Why not? I’ll try.’ However, I had no experience, so I learned everything along the way.”

Interestingly, Oulehla is not the first football manager to attract attention for his behaviour around a female interviewer.

Shakhtar Donetsk boss Arda Turan previously went viral after appearing similarly uncomfortable during an interview with reporter Daria Savina.

During the two-minute exchange, Turan repeatedly fidgeted, placed his hands in his pockets and seemingly avoided making eye contact.

Another clip showed the former footballer posing for a photograph with a female supporter, placing his arm around her without actually touching her.

Turan, who married Aslihan Dogan at a ceremony attended by Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has also previously made headlines over an exchange involving his wife.

When a reporter attempted to question Aslihan outside the venue, Turan intervened angrily.

“Be respectful, or I will crush your head and eyes!” he said. “You’re talking to my wife.”

For Oulehla, meanwhile, what should have been a routine post-match interview has turned into a viral moment, with his unusually intense focus proving far more memorable online than the football itself.
