An arrest mugshot has unexpectedly become the centre of attention online after social media users spotted what they believe is a remarkable resemblance to Jennifer Lopez.

The batteries were reportedly worth around $580, with details of the allegations outlined in a criminal complaint obtained by The Watch MN, the New York Post reports.
According to the complaint, an employee at the store recognised Quast from an alleged theft at the same location just two days earlier and contacted police.
Quast reportedly later admitted to taking the battery packs.
She was subsequently booked on a gross-misdemeanour theft charge before being released the following day.
However, the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft soon found themselves overshadowed online by something completely unexpected.
Quast’s mugshot, taken by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, began circulating across social media as users noticed her apparent similarity to 57-year-old singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.
And once people saw the resemblance, the comparisons quickly took over.
One person admitted: “Bro, I seriously thought the mug shot was Lopez.”
Another was equally convinced by the similarity, writing: “Omg. Get a DNA test. There’s no way that’s NOT JLo. For real. If it’s NOT…and I was Hollywood or anywhere else I would totally rent her at a discounted JLo rate for sure.”
A third commented: “She should be charged twice for not being smart enough to use her likeness raking in money being a Lopez impersonator or a stand-in.” The similarity is insane.”
Other users had the same immediate reaction when they came across the image.
“For a moment I thought it was jlo lmao,” one person wrote.
Another joked: “There’s a glitch in the matrix lol.”
It wasn’t long before the comparisons moved beyond Quast’s appearance and into references to Lopez’s music.
Social media users began putting their own spin on the singer’s 2002 hit “Jenny from the Block”, turning the song into a series of jokes inspired by the circumstances surrounding the viral mugshot.
“In prison she’s known as Jenny from D-Block!,” one comment read.
Another person wrote: “Jenny been walking the block too much.”
Someone else simply added: “She’s definitely still Jenny from the block.”
The resemblance even prompted one user to jokingly call directly on Lopez to investigate whether there might be more to the similarities – with some legitimately calling for a DNA test.
Quast was accused of taking the two double packs, valued at approximately $580, after an employee reportedly recognised her in connection with an alleged incident at the same store two days beforehand.
She reportedly admitted taking the items and was booked following her arrest on August 30 before being released the next day.
Online records also indicate this was not Quast’s first encounter with law enforcement.
She has previously been arrested in connection with allegations including drug possession, driving while intoxicated, fleeing police and providing false identification.
Records also show several traffic-related offences.
