Brendan Fraser has won praise online after a simple interaction with a fan was caught on camera at a film premiere.

Rather than carrying on with the red-carpet event around him, Fraser walked over and offered to help.
The resulting interaction lasted less than a minute, but it was his patience with the man that caught the attention of people online.
The footage – shared by @londonbeautifullife on TikTok – shows Fraser approaching before taking the time to work out the camera himself, scrolling through it and pressing buttons as he apparently demonstrates how it works.
He then takes a selfie of the pair together and shows the man the result afterwards.
It was an understated moment amid the activity of a busy London premiere, but that appeared to be precisely why the footage resonated with so many people.
One Reddit user wrote: “I love how he so gently walks up to the man and then speaks with evident compassion. Lovely to see.”
Another focused on the fact that Fraser never appeared to be in a hurry to finish the interaction.
They wrote: “I love how slowly he moves. The whole encounter takes less than a minute but he’s not rushing this guy. His whole body language is like they’ve just bumped into each other on a Sunday afternoon and they have all the time in the world. Just lovely.”
One person responding to the footage wrote: “He will always make time for anyone especially anyone with additional needs. His son is Autistic. So is mine. Also just being a human being & showing kindness & compassion. Imagine a world full of that love.”
The circulating clip received more than 175,000 likes on TikTok, and also went viral on other social media platforms, including Reddit and Instagram, where it drew thousands more comments.
Another commenter described the interaction as refreshing, writing: “Refreshing. Famous actor not acting, but genuinely kind.”
Someone else added: “In an alternate universe, this is held up as the definition of masculinity.
“True strength is the strength to be kind.”
Others who saw the footage were equally struck by how Fraser appeared to give the interaction his full attention despite everything else happening around him.
An Instagram user summed up the unusual souvenir the fan ended up receiving, writing: “Having a selfie with Brendan Fraser… cool. Getting a cinematography lesson from Brendan Fraser… Epic.”
There was also a comment from someone who claimed to have heard similarly positive things about the actor through a friend who had worked in the film industry.
They wrote: “I have a friend that used to work on a lot of movies. She said lot of the famous actors were assholes. Brendan Fraser was very far her favorite actor she worked with. She said he was kind and down to earth.”

The clip was filmed during the premiere of Pressure, in which Fraser plays General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The film centres on a crucial decision surrounding the Normandy landings during the Second World War, with Andrew Scott playing meteorologist James Stagg.
