Most parents stick their children’s artwork on the fridge. Rihanna decided to permanently tattoo hers onto her leg instead.

The singer and Fenty Beauty founder has revealed her latest piece of body art — a giant scribble-style tattoo created from drawings made by her children — and fans are absolutely obsessed with it.

The new tattoo was inked by celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang, who shared footage of the process online alongside the caption: “designed by her babies”

The abstract design, which stretches across the back of Rihanna’s left leg and into the bend of her knee, was based on original artwork created by her children using colourful markers.

The original drawing reportedly even featured Paw Patrol stickers stuck across the page, although Rihanna chose to simplify things slightly for the final tattoo by having it done entirely in black ink.

Still, the chaotic scribble energy very much survived the transition – and it resulted in a unique and personal inking that fans couldn’t get enough of:

“My god, this is so cute,” one fan commented, with a second adding: “She’s always so original when it comes to tattoos.”

Many other parents admitted they’d thought about doing the exact same thing with their own children’s drawings — and no doubt many more will now follow.

The singer — who shares sons RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and baby daughter Rocki with partner A$AP Rocky — appeared in videos during the tattoo session joking around while getting the ink done.

At one point, Rihanna laughed: “The torture I’ve endured in this shop,”

Before later adding: “Make sure my a** looks good in the main shots.”

The new ink adds to Rihanna’s already extensive tattoo collection, much of which has also been done by Bang Bang over the years.

Most notably, the tattoo artist previously worked on the Henna-inspired design on Rihanna’s hand, which expanded on an existing Maori tattoo she originally got back in 2013.

But it turns out Rihanna’s children may already be following both parents into creative careers.

Speaking previously about her sons, Rihanna said, via E Online: “Both of them love music.” She added: “I don’t know who they get it from more. I’m like, ‘Is that me or is that you, Rocky?’”

And apparently youngest son Riot already has plenty of personality too.

“Riot, he likes to freestyle,” Rihanna said. “So, that’s definitely a Rocky thing.”

Meanwhile, Rocky revealed that Riot is also the more talkative of the two brothers.

He said: “Rza don’t be talking. That’s Riot,” before adding: “He can’t stop running his mouth.”
