What was meant to be a routine training flight quickly turned into something far more bizarre — and now, a group of trainee pilots are facing consequences after their early morning exercise took an unexpected turn.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Finnish Air Force cadets have landed in trouble after flight tracking data appeared to show them drawing a series of penis-shaped patterns in the sky during a scheduled training session.
The incident took place on April 13, when multiple aircraft took off from the Jyväskylä area, with data from Flightradar revealing that at least four planes traced crude shapes across the skies during a 7.30AM flight, The Sun reports.
The cadets had reportedly been tasked with practising turning manoeuvres within a designated training zone. Instead, the flight paths captured online told a very different story.
Screenshots circulating on social media showed the aircraft appearing to form large, explicit outlines mid-air — with additional shapes, including two hearts, also spotted near Säkinmäki.
The unusual patterns didn’t go unnoticed.

Viewers tracking the flights in real-time quickly picked up on the shapes and began sharing images online, turning the moment into a viral talking point almost instantly.
Despite the antics, officials were quick to clarify that the flights themselves remained within operational guidelines.
A spokesperson confirmed: “The aircraft remained in the training area assigned to the flight mission and performed the exercises given in the flight mission assignment. The aircraft did not deviate from their route.”
They also stressed that there was no risk posed to other air traffic during the exercise.
However, while the technical side of the mission may have been carried out correctly, the behaviour itself has not been taken lightly.
“The air force requires its service members to adhere to standards of conduct and discipline”, a statement read.
A further statement reinforced that stance, adding: “The Air Force requires soldiers to follow good manners and rules of conduct, and if these are deviated from, it will be responded to in an appropriate manner.”
As a result, the cadets involved are now expected to face disciplinary action, although officials have not disclosed what specific sanctions may follow.
The incident has also prompted an internal investigation, with authorities examining how a standard training session turned into what many online have compared to something out of an Austin Powers film (you all know the scene we’re on about).
While the stunt may have amused viewers tracking the flights from the ground, it’s clear the Finnish Air Force sees it differently.
